Capstone Experience

Participated in a 10-week summer internship at BNY Mellon Private Bank in Atlanta, GA. In those 10 weeks, I was tasked with creating multiple net worth statements, advice paths, client meeting books, and learning about stock trading as well as state/trust management. Advice paths are made to show clients their income vs. their spending taking into consideration multiple sources of income, multiple expenditures, and any major events such as a large business sale, getting married and showing tax implications, retirement, etc... Client meeting books are to show their current assets and their yearly performance which would give the client an idea of how their assets are building wealth. Learning about the multiple areas of estate planning was extremely interesting, seeing the difference between someone who planned early vs someone who did it later in life and the tax implications that go along with it. The experience was great, and an amazing opportunity to grow and learn. We also had multiple fire side chats with industry leaders such as the CEO, CFO, and other major heads in every department.
