When I first joined FIU I wanted to get involved. I enjoyed my time as a student here and would not change anything. In the academic area I enjoyed my GL courses. They helped me expand my academic interests as well as feed the interest I already had that did not quite fit with my major. I enjoyed learning about history primarily about ancient civilizations, their architecture and beliefs. I also had a great time and bettered my communication skills with leadership opportunities such as being VP of Finance in IFC, running for HomeComing Prince, Fly ins with the Honors College and Community Service. Overall, I would encourage any current and incoming student to try out the different leadership and involvement opportunities and Global Learning courses.
