Honors College Washington DC Fly-in Experience
Working in the FIU Honors College since 2021 gave me a lot of opportunities I took advantage of. In the Fall of 2022, I was invited and participated in the Fly-in at Washington DC, not only as a student but assisted in planning the trip and in charge of a "pod" of 6 students. We had the opportunity to learn about the major effects of immigration policy and foreign aid. We also had time to visit the museums which was my favorite part being an enthusiast about history specifically ancient civilizations and their beliefs.
